From the reviews
We absolutely love the dance studio at AF Dance! My 4-year-old and 6-year-old daughters have been attending classes here, and we couldn’t be happier. Ms. Abigail and her incredible staff are truly amazing. The dedication and passion they have for teaching dance is evident in every class.
For the past eight years, A Fine Dance Studio has been a cherished part of our family’s life, and it continues to be a place where our two dancers not only learn the art of dance but also the invaluable life lessons of discipline, kindness, and teamwork.
A Fine Dance Studio has been a wonderful experience for our family. The culture of the studio clearly comes from the owner, Abigail Fine, who has created an environment that emphasizes not only strong dance training, but also leadership, accountability, kindness, and mentorship between dancers of different ages.
My kids have been dancing here for over 5 years. We found the studio after trying several others in the area. I only wish we had found it sooner! They run a great program!
Your first ballet class at A Fine Dance Studio
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
