From the reviews
We have been a part of the A Step Ahead Dance Company for 6 years. The owner's are amazing to work with and always willing to answer any questions I have as a mom with very little dance background. The teachers are very knowledgeable and do a outstanding job of expanding the students' dance and acro skills.
It's hard to believe that we have been at the studio since the doors have opened. This just started out as a way to get my daughter and I out of the house and not sit at home all of the time. Now look where we are at, headed to the studio multiple days and generally for multiple hours.
My daughters have been dancing at A Step Ahead Dance Company for eight years. The teachers and director are wonderful and the studio is beautifully set up to meet all of the dancers’ needs! Every year I’m blown away by the unique, original and amazing choreography of each of the dances!
ASADC is a wonderful dance studio! My daughter is attending for her 3rd year. I can not say enough to praise Ms. Jean and her awesome staff. I'm an older mom and appreciate the age appropriate music, dance moves, and costumes. It doesn't matter if you are recreational or competition you are treated like family!
Your first ballet class at A Step Ahead Dance Company
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
