From the reviews
We are so blessed by this performance art school! My girls enjoy their teachers, new friends and are enjoying ballet! As soon as you walk in the doors, you know that something is different here. We love how Jesus is magnified and put at the for front in all they do! Such a great environment and group to be apart of!
Choosing to place our children at Alamance Fine Arts Academy has been one of the best decisions we have ever made. Our daughter takes almost every dance class they offer, and our boys are taking voice lessons.
Our daughter tried ballet when she was 5 and had no interest in ever returning. It just wasnt her thing, or so we thought at the time. Last year we moved to Burlington and decided to give it another go here at AFAA a year later and she fell in love, and so did we!
AFAA is a great Christ centered dance studio. The staff all are wonderful people. Always encouraging & uplifting each student in their love of dance. It’s such a joy to see the students worshiping & glorifying the Lord through dance. We love being apart of the AFAA family!
Your first ballet class at Alamance Fine Arts Academy
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
