Astonishing to think that my daughter, who will soon graduate high school,, has been a student at this dance school since the age of three! What a remarkable learning experience this has been for her and an enormous part of her existence and being.
First let me start with the owner of the Studio-Miss Rysa;-). She is absolutely amazing- kind, loving and always has a big smile on her face even when she needs to answer countless questions from the parents or address many concerns parents always have. All the kids at the Studio adore and love her!.
All Star Studios is an amazing dance studio. My girls have been dancing at All Star since they were 3 years old (for about 10 years now). The teachers and staff are wonderful. They are kind and nurturing. Not only do they teach amazing dance techniques; they also teach them to be strong, confident and hard working.
I grew up in the dance world, earned a BFA in Dance, had an 18-year career as a professional dancer which included a 10-year continuous run on Broadway and now I am the Dance Area Head at a successful NYC Dance Conservatory.
Adult ballet at All Star Studios

First, which class to start in — look for one labeled "absolute beginner" or "adult beginner" rather than an open or "all levels" class, so you learn the fundamentals at the right pace. Second, drop-in or term — many adult programs let you pay per class to try it, then move to a term or monthly package once you're hooked. Third, what to wear — comfortable clothes you can move in, plus socks or bare feet, are plenty for a first class; you won't need a leotard or ballet shoes to walk in the door.
