From the reviews
Allison’s Dance Center is truly an amazing place! I finished out the last 2 years of my dance career at Allison’s after my previous studio suddenly closed. I wasn’t from the Cedar Valley area and knew no one at the studio, but was welcomed in with open arms.
My family and I are new to the area and we were looking for a new studio to call home. We were immediately drawn to Allison’s Dance Center — the people, the environment, the core values that drive the studio. We took a tour and were greeted with such kindness.
I send both of my girls (Age 7 & 4) to Allison''s Dance Center and they both loved it! They have tons to offer from different classes as well as different times to accomodate schedules.
ADC excells across the board and then some! We've been with the center for 10 years now and it just amazes us with the care our children receive. It's more than just dance- they are learning life skills, having fun, and growing in a POSITIVE environment. The organization and communication is superb!
Your first ballet class at Allison's Dance Center
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
