A Beautiful Place to Dance Do you want a dance studio for your child where they aren't just a number in a crowd of children. How about a place that focuses on supporting your pocketbooks as families? Bigger doesn't necessarily mean better!
My husband and I got married on July 29th, 2023. We took two dance lessons with Matthew through Amanda’s Academy of Dance. We had a great experience! Both my husband and I are not natural born dancers- Matthew made us feel competent and comfortable throughout the whole process.
Our 5 year old daughter expressed interest in Irish dancing late last Spring, and we were fortunate to find summer camp classes available in the summer at Amanda’s. She had so much fun learning that she has been enrolled in KidIrish all year, and I can’t imagine a better after school activity for her.

First, which class to start in — look for one labeled "absolute beginner" or "adult beginner" rather than an open or "all levels" class, so you learn the fundamentals at the right pace. Second, drop-in or term — many adult programs let you pay per class to try it, then move to a term or monthly package once you're hooked. Third, what to wear — comfortable clothes you can move in, plus socks or bare feet, are plenty for a first class; you won't need a leotard or ballet shoes to walk in the door. It's never too late for first position.
