I have taken lessons at Arthur Murray - Hillsborough Dance Studio for approximately 2 years & it has been a wonderful experience. My instructor-Keenan as well as the other instructors- Laura & Kyra are professional , competent and fun. So much is offered at this studio that you can never get bored.
I absolutely love Arthur Murray Hillsborough, and I am constantly talking about my amazing experience. My husband and I started dancing at AM over 2 years ago to learn our wedding dance and we stayed on afterwards since it was so fun!
My wife and I have known the dance instructors for some time. They are very talented and excellent teachers. We've had the pleasure of dancing with them in a social and ballroom experience. We have been dancing a little over six years and love the experience.
I highly recommend the Arthur Murray Dance Center of Hillsborough. The studio is beautiful and spacious. The owners are a fabulously talented couple who go above and beyond to provide so many wonderful dancing instruction and performance opportunities (both in-person and virtual) for all their students at every level.
Your first ballet class at Arthur Murray Dance Center of Hillsborough
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
