I now take ballet classes here on Tuesday's. The teacher was so nice! I love having this place to go to. Its not too expensive. There is only one other ballet school for adults in spokane and it doesn't even come close to the fair price of this school. I saw the young dancers and older dancers.
My daughter started dancing at Artistry In Motion 2.5 years ago. Before that, we spent 7 years at a different studio that was primarily ballet-focused. A friend had been raving about Artistry In Motion for years, so when my daughter became interested in trying more dance styles, we knew exactly where to go.
My daughter has danced at Artistry in Motion for 8 years and found a passion for dance unlike anything else in her life! She takes classes across all genres and is also on the competition team. Without a doubt, AIM is her family and her home away from home.
We first found AIM when Tamara was recommended to us as the best option in the area for ballet lessons for my daughter, and this has proven to have been great guidance. When Covid hit, she was offering a full schedule online and my daughter’s studio was not, so she started classes there full time, thru Zoom.

Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
