My daughter just started here in pre hip-hip, ballet and tap. She LOVES it so far! The owner, Peter, is here every evening and is very welcoming, informative and super nice!!
We love this studio! My daughter has grown so much since starting classes here and always leaves her classes happy. The teachers are always so friendly and helpful in their instructions. The owners are also so kind and helpful, and are great at getting to know the students.
We transferred to this Puyallup studio in May 2025 from the Bonney Lake studio due to relocating, and I honestly love it here. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, and my daughter has felt right at home. She’s been dancing with Auburn Dance Academy for over two years, and we’ve had such a positive experience.
Auburn Dance Academy for the last few years has been such a fun place for our family to call our dance home. The quality of the programming and instruction is excellent. The shows twice Yearly are an absolute incredible production.
Your first ballet class at Auburn Dance Academy- Puyallup
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
