From the reviews
My daughter loves this place. She has developed many friendships. They have helped her build her confidence in tumbling. She can’t get enough of BDC afterschool and summer camp. Mrs. B has a wonderful team who is dedicated to the growth of any child who enters the program!
I just signed my son up for spring break and summer camp today and I’m overly excited for him to start! The staff took the time to show me around and given me a guided tour of the entire premises along with telling me what each room was for and what a day at their camp consists of!
We toured BDC before school started and we loved our interaction with Mrs B. My husbands company unexpectedly went out of business right before school started so we ended up not needing childcare for several months.
My 2 year old LOVES taking classes here! We do a mommy and me ballet class and tumbling. Everytime we pull up she excitedly says, 'We're here!'. The teachers are great with the kids, and the student helpers are awesome too! Kaylee will randomly ask for Ms. Kate and say she wants to tumble!
Your first ballet class at Backstage Dance Connection
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
