From the reviews
We have many friends whose kids are part of Ballet at Beltway and I wanted to try out a camp to see how our little one liked it! After three short days with Jillian we watched our 6 year old grow not only in her desire to learn dance but in how she sees herself as a daughter of the King.
We are so thankful for Ballet at Beltway and the whole ballet family! About to start our 3rd semester with B@B and we’re so excited! Love that our children are learning to worship through dance and getting to hear affirmations at every practice.
Dancing with Ballet At Beltway was our first dance experience in Abilene. All three of my kids have a better understanding of dance as a form of movement and worship. The B@B staff encourages all the students to express themselves through dance as worship and it is a treasured gift from this program.
Ballet at beltway has been such a blessing to so many sweet girls in the Big country! Miss Jillian’s sweet spirit is such a joy to get to have around our girls! We can’t wait to see what the 23-24 season holds! -Laken Hayhurst
Your first ballet class at Ballet at Beltway
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
