From the reviews
We moved to Hayward this year, and were completely welcomed to a family-friendly community with the addition of Ballet Petit! My daughter, who is 3 years old, started her first set of classes and could not wait to go back every week.
Excellent experience here. My 7yo daughter has grown incredibly in 1 session and loves ballet here. It's a beautiful studio and the teachers are incredible. When my daughter comes out of class, she falls on the floor and says, "ah-may-zing." With a big smile on her face.
This studio became our home and family. It has great training and everyone became like our own family. The shows are beyond believable. The most important thing is the students learn to dance and move and not just stand at a bar.
My daughter Jaylene loves this place especially her teacher Miss Reagan who seems to care for her students. I met the owner Miss Peggy and she truly has made her dream come true with her new location. i loved how down to earth she is and the passion and dedication for ballet ever since she was six years old.
Your first ballet class at Ballet Petit
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
