From the reviews
My children have been attending classes at BYPC for almost ten years. They have grown into confident performers and they have had a lot of fun during the process. The teachers are patient, dedicated, talented, and give constructive feedback.
We have been a part of the BYPC family for over a decade! Starting at the Creative 2s Program all the way back in 2010. We love the fantastic classes, creative summer theater camps, music classes, voice lessons and dance! Our family appreciates all the time, expertise, and creative energy of all the instructors.
The camps hosted by BYPC are hands down the best. Victoria, Jessie and Rose are amazing instructors who give all of themselves and care about each and every one of their students.
I started taking voice lessons at BYPC when I was 7. At the time I was just a shy girl who loved to sing. I immediately felt welcomed at BYPC so the voice lessons turned into performance, dance, acting, and more. I truly discovered my passion. Throughout my youth, BYPC has been my second home.
Your first ballet class at Bedford Youth Performing Company (BYPC)
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
