We just had our second lesson at Belliston and they're amazing. They are so friendly and the tot class is super fun for my girls. My girls are 1.5 and they love how much fun the class is. I also agree with others that the price is really reasonable.
My two year old daughter recently had a trial mini movers class. She had an absolute blast. So much so we have planed to finish out the rest of this semester and register for the fall. The dance teacher is very energetic!
I can’t say enough great things about this dance studio! The instructors are incredibly talented, patient, and truly passionate about what they do. They create such a positive and encouraging environment, whether you’re a beginner or more advanced.
I found this dance studio through a Google search, and I’m so glad I did! My 5-year-old daughter has been asking to dance for a couple of years, but I’d heard horror stories from other parents about high prices and overly intense programs.
Your first ballet class at Belliston Academy of Ballet and Dance
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
