From the reviews
We ADORE this ballet school! When we moved to the area a few years ago, we were looking for a ballet-only studio. We have been so impressed with the professionalism, instructor-to-student ratios, curriculum, and how classy performances are!! We are BSB for life!
We love this dance studio! They focus on skills rather than dance moves for one performance all year. I don't worry about dance costumes being provocative. Costumes and uniforms are classy. Most importantly My daughters love it!
My daughter has attended the Belmont School of Ballet for 9 years. We have had wonderful experiences there and she has been offered great opportunities to further her dance education. She has had many inspiring and impressive teachers who have guided and nurtured her love of dance.
I have 2 girls, ages 9 and 7. We have been taking dance here for 5 almost 6 years. You will not find a better classical dance studio. Ms. Alyssa is a joy to work with my eldest in Ceccehtti. Ms.Bridget and Ms. Porter are two that have been trained in the Royal Academy of Dance how to teach each child effectively.
Your first ballet class at Belmont School of Ballet
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
