From the reviews
Moved here from So. Cal with our pre-prof ballet daughter, interviewed the ballet studios that are here and really liked what these instructors had to offer. We've been here a short while but have already seen improvements in technique, breathing, and mostly our dancer is very happy and excited to come to class.
This is the highest quality ballet training in our valley especially within the ABT curriculum. The wealth of knowledge Mads & Sarah bring to our dancers on stage and in the classroom has far surpassed my expectations. My 14 yr old daughter has been training there for 5 years.
I do gyrotonics with Sarah and she is amazing! I’ve been doing gyrotonics for a few years and have worked with three other instructors at different studios. Sarah is by far the best instructor I’ve ever worked with. She’s incredibly thorough and hands on. I’m so glad I found Sarah and Boise Ballet!
My daughter went here for a year now and she went to another ballet school for 2 years. I'm super satisfied with this place. The teachers are great. The place is nice. And the price is affordable (it's even cheap for the quality).
Your first ballet class at Boise Ballet Academy
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
