From the reviews
The Bridgeman Academy of Performing Arts is exceptional! The instructors are talented and passionate, offering personalized guidance that boosts both skills and confidence. With a welcoming and nurturing environment, the academy creates a vibrant community that inspires and supports artistic growth.
I had the pleasure of attending the summer show at Bridgeman Academy “For Every Season”. Wow. I am always amazed at the professionalism of the students. They have good instructors who pour themselves into the students. It shows in every performance I go to. Not only that, but I feel like God is glorified as well.
My niece has been attending classes for a while now and the growth in her performance level is astounding. I recently had the opportunity to see their recital and entire recital program was entertaining and showcased the students very well at all ages and abilities. This academy is terrific!
Our eldest daughter has gone “all-in” at Bridgeman Academy. She is in the pre-professional program, and it’s no joke. Takes a lot of time, and requires a big commitment for us all as a family. However, we are moving into year three of this program for a reason.
Your first ballet class at Bridgeman Academy of Performing Arts
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
