Absolutely wonderful experience! My baby sister is in the Twinkle Tot class, and we were warmly welcomed as soon as we arrived. The entire environment felt so positive and inviting.
We reached out wanting information regarding a free class for our daughter and someone reached out within an hour. Everyone through the process of it all was so friendly and helpful and my daughter had a great free class that we ended up signing her up that day.
Instant gratification! You enter an environment full of joy and pleasant memories. Last year we attended when our baby was one and this year she is two and now becoming a Twinkle. She enjoyed every moment at her Sparkle day. Looking forward to what this season has for her. She is eager to get back to “dance dance”.
We went in for the first time doing anything like this, and the staff completely guided me through every step. They explained everything in detail, and made sure I understood what was happening! Extremely friendly, and my daughter had a blast! So much so that she didnt want to leave!
Your first ballet class at Caitlin Colleen Dance Academy
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
