From the reviews
Cape May Dancers has been a second home to my son. He started at 4 years old and is now a 16 year old Junior dancing at least 4 days a week. They not only have an amazing staff of teachers ,but they also bring in professional teachers from all over the country to give the students more intense instruction.
Cape May Dancers is so much more than a dance studio, it is a family. Each and every child who walks through the studio doors is celebrated and appreciated for his/her unique qualities and is given the personal instruction needed to become the best version of him/herself - first as a person then as a dancer.
Cape May Dancers is run by three of the most loving, caring women. They welcome everyone and make each child feel loved and an important part of the dance family. It is one big family and they learn how to work together and encourage each other.
When you walk into Cape May Dancers, you’re family. I was a Cape May Dancer from 1988-2002 and my daughter is currently in their 18 month - 2yr program. She loves the staff and dance class!
Your first ballet class at Cape May Dancers
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
