From the reviews
Best Quality Ballet Productions between Boston and Montreal! Wonderful costumes, sets, and the dancing is splended! Ticket prices are well worth the experience. If you are a ballet lover in the Upper Valley (or beyond) don't miss their next production! You won't be disappointed!
Stunning choreography danced by incredibly talented local dancers. Who knew this level and quality of dance was here in the Upper Valley?! I was not expecting this level of magic when I bought my tickets to Cinderella this year but WOW, I was blown away. Thank you to the folks to put this together.
How amazingly fortunate the upper valley is to have such a wonderful ballet company in our community. They provide us with high quality productions so close to home. Most recently, I had the pleasure of watching the city center ballet’s production of Cinderella, which was a fantastic mix of beauty, skill and humor.
Amazing experience, talented dancers!!! Such a wonderful time watching an exquisite show. What a treat in the upper valley, would not hesitate to go to future productions!!!!!
Your first ballet class at City Center Ballet
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
