From the reviews
I had the pleasure of attending the Coastal Youth Ballet Theatre's performance of the Nutcracker on Sunday 12/7/25 at the Republic Theater in Conway. It was my first time at this venue and found it a warm and inviting place. The performance was beyond words ! It is easily one of the best I have ever seen !
This was my first time attending the Coastal Youth Ballet performance of the Nutcracker and I was very impressed by the entire event - the sets, choreography, dancers - everything! It is totally worth the price of a ticket and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to enjoy a wonderful Christmas tradition.
I absolutely enjoyed this youth performance of The Nutcracker! The dancers were incredibly talented, confident, and expressive. It was truly impressive for such a young group. The choreography, set, costumes, and overall production were beautiful and engaging from start to finish.
I am not a ballet type. I started taking my grand daughter to see The Nutcracker about 4 years ago... I enjoy it more and more each year and the volunteers who work the table in the lobby are wonderful. I can't wait for next year. Inspirational performance to say the least!!!
Your first ballet class at Coastal Youth Ballet Theatre
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
