My husband actually found this dance studio while he was about to grab a bit to eat in this plaza and met Kathy aka Kat! Our daughter had her first dance class and absolutely loved it. The staff is amazing very polite and sweet. Her dance teacher was very patient.
My 2y.o. girl fell in love with the free trial class so I have enrolled her and it was so much fun, they split the class in two parts and change shoes: from ballet to tap dance shoes. The room was clean, they give them toys and ribbons to play with for every dance and everyone involved is so happy.
If you’re looking for a dance studio that is welcoming, inclusive, and just genuinely special, I cannot recommend Creation Dance Studio enough. From the very first phone call to booking our first session, my friend and I felt completely at ease.
My 4-year old just started taking the Princess Series tap and ballet class and she absolutely loves it! I was amazed at how the teachers meet kids where they’re at in terms of age and development (I love that they have classes for specific age brackets), while making it fun, AND actually teaching technique!
Your first ballet class at Creation Station Dance-Tustin
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
