From the reviews
My daughter didn’t grow up in a dance studio, yet she made it a personal goal to dance in college in the middle of her senior year on her high school dance team. She received a second chance at studio life when Creative Minds opened their doors and were willing to train my 19 year old during her gap year.
Creative Minds has been a breath of fresh air! We’ve attended three other studios in the Tri-Cities and this is the first to fit what we needed and wanted in a dance community. The focus is on movement, dance and expression in a supportive atmosphere, not on earrings, hair, makeup and outdated performance rituals.
This isn't just a dance studio full of teammates- it's dance studio full of dancers who become family. Alyssa and Alissa care so much about each of their dancers and will do whatever it takes to make them the best version of themselves!
Alissa and Alyssa create a strong, cohesive environment that is inclusive, kind, and welcoming. They are hard workers and are passionate about dance. They teach students with grace, humility, and confidence. Our daughter has grown in both skill and poise throughout her dance journey.
Your first ballet class at Creative Minds Dance Studio
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
