From the reviews
My kids have tried several different locations for dance class, but have finally found their home at Creative Steps! Why? Because it's about joy. Ms. Michelle has created a low-stress, highly flexible environment that is well-organized and fun!
Our daughter has danced with Creative Steps for the past 12 years. We highly recommend this dance school because they focus on and listen to their students thereby addressing their every need. The teachers are passionate about dance and patient with all dancers from toddlers to teens.
I looked into several dance schools for my two and a half year old daughter, and ended up choosing Creative Steps because it was late in the season and other schools were full (Brookline Ballet and BBS). I am very happy they were full because I have nothing but good things to say about Creative Steps.
We love creative steps for hip hop, ballet and tap classes for my son and daughter! Laid back and welcoming vibes - great place for kids to do dance!
Your first ballet class at Creative Steps Dance Studio
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
