From the reviews
Culver City Academy of Ballet so clearly stands apart from the rest. CCAB offers a nurturing environment led by highly qualified, classically trained teachers who genuinely care about their students.
We love Michelle (and all of her teachers) and CCAB. The studio is warm and welcoming, and the kids are supportive of each other. Michelle is very patient and kind and really takes the time to try to get to know each child at her school.
We are so thankful to have found CCAB and my daughter loves it there. After dancing on and off for years at different ballet schools, CCAB is our favorite! Michelle is gifted, knowledgeable and cares about each student individually and their development. The same can be said of the other instructors as well.
CCAB is THE ballet studio. Michelle DeAngelis balances top-tier, professional instruction with individualized care and attention that you just don’t find at other studios. My 11-year-old has grown tremendously as a ballerina under Michelle’s instruction and mentorship.
Your first ballet class at Culver City Academy of Ballet
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
