“We tried DMA & one other dance company when my daughter was just beginning and chose DMA bc of the way Ms.”
“She has such a neat role in that she teaches the younger kids and then gets to see them come full circle as a teen still at the studio.”

“They will give the girls just what they need or want - not push them if they don't want to be "professional" - but give them poise and a very good experience in dance.”

From the reviews
I have taken ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, Acro, and competition classes at DMA for almost five years. There is no other studio out there that cares as much for each student as the staff at DMA. We are a family. In addition to winning top awards, we learn about quality character and how to have good sportsmanship.
We love DMA! My son takes piano and my daughter has been dancing for two seasons here now. The teachers have all been wonderful; they are so kind and fun. We really appreciate the fee structure, dance portraits, make-up policy, and the way they structure the performances.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Dance & Music Academy!! I have three girls there and in about another year will have all four of my girls dancing there. They have an amazing staff who develops great relationship with the families and the girls.
I came to DMA from another studio..... and it blew me away how much better it was. Everything is very organized. The teachers and very kind but also work you very hard. Everything is age appropriate.
Your first ballet class at Dance and Music Academy of Woodstock
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
