We love this dance school. My daughter is always excited to go and wants to take all of the classes offered. The teaching is strong in technique and discipline while also always offering a warm, loving, and fun environment.
I bought a package of hip hop lessons with Mia at Dance North county. Mia is a great teacher and is super patient when I don’t get the moves right. I highly recommend her & can’t say enough nice things. She’s an excellent dancer and a wonderful teacher!
Mia is an outstanding dance teacher! We signed up for her wedding dance package to learn a routine for our wedding on 11/1/25. We are not dancers, and felt pretty nervous to attempt to learn a professional dance. Mia made us feel so welcomed and comfortable.
WE LOVE NORTH COUNTY DANCE CENTER AND ESPECIALLY MS.ANNA! Anna is absolutely amazing and the program is by far the BEST n North County. My daughter has been taking classes for 8 months and LOVES it! Anna is able to connect to each kid, meet them where they are at, and help them rise to every challenge.
Your first ballet class at Dance North County
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
