From the reviews
My daughter has been attending lessons for almost a year and absolutely loves it! We chose this location due to the convenient schedule, all the classes in the area for her age group were all during working hours, this was the only Saturday morning class I could find.
We highly recommend Dance Steps Miami led by Patricia Tumelty as as a great place to learn ballet. Patricia, Kindra and Michelle are very patient and caring towards her students. Our daughter Allie was always happy and eager to go to class.
My daughter has been with Dance Steps Miami for 1 year. I noticed that she has advance with her dance skills and discipline. The teachers are experienced and educated within the field of dance. They have great teaching skills as well as the ability to reach a range of age groups of dancers.
My granddaughter has been attending Dance Steps for 2 years and she loves it! Ms. Patty, Ms. Kendra, and Ms. Michelle are excellent with the kids. We have a Christmas recital and an end-of-the-year recital, and they keep getting better and better! So much fun, love, an artistic discipline. I highly recommend. :)))
Your first ballet class at Dance Steps Miami
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
