From the reviews
We love DTTA! It’s not just a regular dance studio, they’re also a very friendly - family studio too. They welcome all levels of dancers and a variety of classes. My son has been dancing here for almost 5 years and my daughter just recently started dancing here too.
My children have been involved with DTTA for the last six years. The are consummate professionals in that the programming is outstanding. They are like family in that they encourage dedication and respect. Ms. Merri is great with the details of dance. Ms. Gaby works hard and gives hugs. Ms.
I absolutely love this family run dance studio. The instructors are incredibly kind and patient with the children. The recitals they put on every year are nothing short of professional. When guests come they are shocked that the impressive stage is set for just little kids! They also offer adult classes.
Dance Through the Ages is the best place for dancers of all ages! We moved to South Florida twelve years ago. When my daughter was old enough to take dance classes, this studio was recommended to us. We were so lucky! Nine years later, we are BOTH dancing and couldn't be happier.
Your first ballet class at Dance Through The Ages
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
