From the reviews
I love this Dance Studio! Everyone here is friendly, my girls look forward to come every week. The owner goes above and beyond for her dancers.
There are dance studios and then there is DanceXpressions! Sharon Cooksey has worked tirelessly over the years to create a wonderful dance studio. Based on a Christian foundation bound together with family values, our daughter has been part of the DanceXpressions family for over 3 years now.
Sharon, the director of this studio truly cares about those attending her studio! It is a friendly, clean, organized and fun environment! When you walk in this studio, there is no doubt that your children are going to learn dance, beautiful choreography, and strong technique.
My daughter absolutely loves dance here. She asks everyday when she is going to dance next. Since I commute far for work having the bus drop her off after school is a huge help and I love the fact there is a camera in the lobby and I can watch her dance!
Your first ballet class at DanceXpressions
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
