From the reviews
Dancin Feet was our school of choice when my daughter was a girl. I appreciated the philosophy in those years. I was grateful for the quality instruction and commitment to positive growth for all participants regardless of experience, athleticism, body type or personality.
This is a great non competitive dance studio. I so appreciate that my daughter knows her routines start to finish WITHOUT having to look to the side of the stage to see what's next. I appreciate that they teach all dancers regardless of the class they are in. This is not the case at all studios.
If you are looking for a a studio where your child can grow and be themselves with love and support, then this is where you should bring them. We have been a part of the Dancin Feet family for 11 years. The staff is amazing! They all truly care about us. The variety of dance styles is great. From pointe to Irish.
Our daughter has been at Dancin' Feet for the past 6 years. We appreciate that the dances/costumes are appropriate for little girls. Colleen has built a wonderful studio where the girls are able to be themselves in class and at the shows. No mandatory hair and make up requirements!
Your first ballet class at Dancin Feet
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
