From the reviews
We found DDC after a long year at a frustrating dance school. My daughter takes all styles of dance from classical ballet to competitive hip hop from experienced teachers who love dancing, teaching and challenging kids who work hard and then play hard.
High energy, high class dance studio. Mrs. Whitney demands the best of her students and herself.
My daughter has danced with Danville Dance Company taking studio classes and competition team since the doors opened. We started our journey taking only one class as a level 1 dancer and have grown to taking multiple classes per year as level 4 dancer.
Danville Dance Company is an amazing studio! My daughter is in her 6th year dancing at DDC for studio classes and competition team. This studio offers a multitude of classes and experiences so every child can find what they love, whether it be ballet, tap, hip hop, jazz, production and more!
Your first ballet class at Danville Dance Company, LLC
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
