From the reviews
I am so impressed with the way Darla relates to her young students. She is so “up” and encouraging! The recital she produced last June was wonderful. It was more professional than I could have imagined. A great experience for any young dancer. My daughters just love her!
Being Darla’s very first student over 10 years ago has been such a special experience. Watching this studio grow from the very beginning into the incredible dance family it is today has been amazing. From day one, Darla has poured her heart into every dancer who walks through the doors.
Darla is truly one of the most kind, caring, and dedicated people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. She always has a smile on her face and creates such a positive, welcoming environment for everyone around her. She and her dance teachers do an amazing job working with children and young adults.
5 stars. My daughter has been going to Darla’s School of Dance for years, and at this point I’m fairly sure they have secretly replaced her bones with rhythm, confidence, and glitter.
Your first ballet class at Darla's School Of Dance
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
