From the reviews
I have four daughters whom have all done dance class to some degree. This place is great, caters to kids fantastically. And even in light of recent covid scares, were fast to NOT only keep classes going via Zoom at first, but were even able to put together a recital - requiring ALL to wear masks - to ensure safety as…
My daughter loves it here and even though after her first year we moved from 5 minutes away to 20 to 30 minutes away we wouldn't think of pulling her to somewhere closer. The teachers teach technique and want the kid's to be excellent but they still let them have fun and be kids.
Collectively, I went to and called 15 studios in our area and none of them had the warmth, the friendliness, the welcome, and the genuine care that my daughter got to enjoy when we visited. It was so amazing that I signed her up right away. We look forward to our daughter having a long lasting dance journey with DCJ.
Highly recommend this dance studio. My two daughters have attended for >>years, have made super close friends, and are obtaining fantastic ballet/dance technique. family-run business, who nurture my girls on and off the dance floor. extremely lucky to have found this studio.
Your first ballet class at DCJ Dance
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
