From the reviews
My husband and I needed a few quick dance lessons before our wedding and we decided to go to Diamond Danceport after reading good reviews on Yelp. Becky was so awesome! She eased my stress about our first dance. She gave us enough moves to work with to make the dance our own. We had to much fun working with her.
Diamond Dancesport truly does it all- and with so much fun and style! My partner and I originally met Becky at a local park district while doing some basic dancing for our upcoming wedding, and loved her teaching so much we followed her to another park district- and then eventually her studio.
I stopped by Diamond Dancesport to try one time and see if I can learn a Ballroom Dancing and from that first day Becky made me feel so welcome ..... and three years later I am still dancing. Becky and Rachel made a place filled with friendly atmosphere where you can choose groups or private dance lesson.
Classes are very informative, broken down extremely well, and attention given to the class to make sure everyone understands the pattern as well as the lead and follow. All this is done in a fun way which makes learning easier.
Your first ballet class at Diamond Dancesport
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
