From the reviews
My daughter and her friends were looking for a place where they could take ballet as a way to complement their gymnastics. The owner did us one better. She said that if we got enough kids together she would create a class just for us that would work with our schedule and would specifically cater to our concerns.
Rick and Mindi are wonderful people! They run their studio with integrity and a patience that is second to none. I cannot say enough good about ECB and all those that have a hand in keeping it going. I recommend them to everyone!
Fantastic! If you are looking for a ballet school treats it's students with respect, compassion and enthusiasm, East Coast Ballet is the place to be. Ms. Mindi is amazing. She has a true love for dance and her students. Her instructors are experienced and capable teachers. The atmosphere is positive and welcoming.
East🏖Coast Ballet is an excellent👍location🏝to get you or your children involved into the art of🩰ballet. Not only do the performers learn to dance to🧚♀️beautiful🎹🎻classical💃melodies, but also to🎸contemporary🕺and jazz🥁🕴🎷music. Also dancers learn how to tap dance and perform spoken🎤word.
Your first ballet class at East Coast Ballet Jacksonville
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
