From the reviews
Love ECDC! Great teachers/staff and very well organized esp for their recent recital. I was originally hesitant to send my shy 2.5yo to a big dance school but since her first class, Ms Jane, Ms Skylar, Ms Alex, as well as the other assistants were so sweet and patient with her.
Watching my daughter grow from crying in the corner to being on their tiny competition team within 3 years is a testament to the staff at Ecdc. My son also loves the all boys hip hop class. The talent and technique of their dancers is remarkable! Highly recommend!
My daughter has been dancing at East Coast Dance Company for three years, and we absolutely love it! We joined the competition team last year and have had such a great experience. She’s grown so much as a dancer and as a person—learning teamwork, discipline, and confidence.
East Coast is the best dance school around. The most friendly staff and high quality teachers. The competition dance team has been the best thing my daughter has done. The program is highly organized to make the parent lives easier.
Your first ballet class at East Coast Dance Company
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
