From the reviews
I cannot recommend The Edge Amarillo enough! The teachers and staff are not only caring and knowledgeable but also truly invested in the success and growth of every dancer. From beginners to seasoned competitors, they foster a welcoming and supportive environment that feels like family.
I'm sure it's a wonderful dance studio, The Edge. However the back of the building has a wonderful painting which covers the entire building and is a hidden landmark in the city of Amarillo. See the picture below.
We LOVE The Edge! It's the BEST dance studio in town, hands down! Best training with a competitive and fun atmosphere. If you're looking to place your kiddo in dance this is the ONLY place I would even consider.
Best Dance Studio in Amarillo! They have recreational classes for kids as young as 18 months that we have absolutely loved! All 3 of my kids now dance at The Edge and every staff member we have encountered has been kind, helpful, and top notch!
Your first ballet class at Edge
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
