I did ballet with Miss Shelby years & years ago(I was maybe 12-13). She was always a leader & I have since been following her story with Elevate & I'm so happy/proud & excited for her & her students! They have an awesome teacher & they will go far with her! She has always reached for the stars.
They are fantastic! My daughter absolutely loves Miss Shelby. They work very hard with your children and make sure they are comfortable while keeping them on track. We did the classes after school and only visited the studio once but it was a very welcoming atmosphere.
We are in our third ballet season for my 3 granddaughters and during this third year Elevate offered a Jazz class. The staff at Elevate make learning dance so much fun! My granddaughters love going and love their instructors! I am so happy this ballet studio is in our small town offering these girls BIG dreams!
My daughter loves her class, she has learned so much from Miss Shelby. This is her 2nd year and I feel she has come a long way. Elevate is a clean and great place. If your child likes to dance or wants to try something new, this is a great place to start. The girls dance, laugh and learn all while having fun.
Your first ballet class at Elevate Ballet Co
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
