En Pointe Dance Academy is a wonderful studio that offers a family vibe and encouraging environment. I have been with the owner since she started the YMCA Performing Arts Academy and continued with my dance training when Rebekah opened her own studio. En Pointe has become a second home to me.
My daughter has been a part of this studio for 4 years. She has thrived and absolutely loves her multiple classes and being a part of the Jr Company for the last 2 years. She’s had once in a lifetime opportunities traveling to NYC and taking master classes and going backstage at a Broadway show!
En pointe dance academy is a great place to start dancing or continue your dancing career. The staff is lovely, and treat you as if your family. The owner and one of the directors, bekah, is one of the most loving, compassionate, caring, and hard working people you will ever meet.

Your first ballet class at En Pointe Dance Academy
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
