My daughters have been dancing at Evolution Dance Center for 5 years and are both on the competition team. The staff not only cares about developing the kids as dancers but also as people. They truly are a family who support each and every child.
EDC is very passionate about what they do. It shows on a daily basis through their teaching, motivation and versatility. I have been involved with them since the day they opened and the objective still remains the same. To grow each other to the best version of themselves as a dancer but as well as an individual.
This studio is the place to be whether you want to dance just for the fun of it or to compete. The owner is professional , organized and such a joy to talk to . She brings in the best of the best to teach her students . Top notch choreography and so many genres to choose from.
Your first ballet class at Evolution Dance Center
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
