The success of a studio is evidenced by years in business, number of returning students and continued growth. In the eight years of continuous business, Five Star Dance Centre has enjoyed both the joy of returning students and steady growth hampered only by the Covid pandemic.
I have had the absolute pleasure of attending classes and teaching at Five Star Dance Centre and I must say, it was an absolutely incredible experience. The instructors were not only highly skilled and knowledgeable, but also incredibly patient and encouraging.
I made the switch to this studio halfway through high school after dancing at the same studio for 7 years, which can be daunting but the transition was so smooth due to the nurturing environment that was provided to me during that transition.
If I could give this studio and Miss Michelle more than 5 stars I would! My daughter is a long time student at this studio and has enjoyed every minute there. The care and support Miss Michelle and all the instructors give to their students is exceptional.
Your first ballet class at Five Star Dance Centre, LLC
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
