I recently took the Women in Heels and Grown and Sexy classes, and I’m so glad I overcame my nerves and showed up. The environment was incredibly supportive, welcoming, and encouraging—everyone genuinely cheered each other on, which made the experience even more empowering.
God knows my heart and I feel so blessed to have found this dance studio. I’m fairly new to Birmingham and wanted to try something new to keep my body moving at my big age of 36! Lol After my 1st class I felt so motivated to keep practicing.
I’ve been coming to this studio since January of this year and it’s been such an amazing journey getting back in to dance!! I always feel so welcome and have the BEST time in class.
I took the Grown and Sexy class with Ashley and it was such a vibe. It was my first time dancing in a long time but she made sure I felt comfortable and no pressure to be perfect. The choreo was great, and she makes sure to incorporate confidence and building an actual connection with the music in her class too.

Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
