From the reviews
My son's ballet technique has improved so much in such a short time here at Footworks. Ms. Donna is very much invested in her students and spends extra time helping them develop their technique. She is also wonderful with the youngest and newest and of dancers too.
My grandkids have been going here for quite a few years. They all are doing a comp team and enjoy dancing here. They offer ballet, lyrical, tap, hip hop dance, and toddler tumble and gymnastics. A great place to start as a beginner and grow into more advanced classes or join the comp team.
Wonderful dance recital on Saturday, June 17! Beautiful costumes, simple and perfect stage decorations, we didn’t see anyone cry, the music was superb, fast-paced, lots of work obvious because the dancers were generally good. Thanks for not making the kids perform if they didn’t want to.
Your first ballet class at FootWorks Studio of Dance
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
