From the reviews
My daughter will be starting her fifth year at Heavey Quinn and participated in the Summer Palooza week long dance camp and absolutely loved it! She has gained many skills and has made great friends!
Heavey Quinn is such a great studio to become a competitive dancer, while making best friends at the same time. I am a senior and have danced at the studio for the past 6 years. I have competed as a solo dancer and group dancer in ceili teams and our choreography team.
5/5 stars – great teachers, clean studio, convenient location, friendly staff and a welcoming community. I love the Irish dance classes here. The teachers are patient and knowledgeable, the studio is always well maintained and easy to find, and the staff greet you warmly each time you walk in.
Our daughter Lauren started Irish Step at HQ when she had just turned 5 yrs. old – over six years ago. She has enjoyed every minute of being part of this awesome school. The dancers there have become like family to her, and I have made so many good dance mom/dad friends.
Your first ballet class at Heavey Quinn Irish Dance
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
