From the reviews
I visited Hothouse for the first time last Thursday, and it was great! I’ve been wanting to go to a dance class for years but never took the chance to put myself out there beyond my comfort zone. Finally took the plunge and so glad it did! It was such a welcoming and safe environment to learn from.
Exactly the place I've been looking for to combine my love of music with creative modern choreography. The Hothouse has a fabulous upbeat vibe with skilled, fun and very patient instructors. You must dance with Jesica and Megan. I see this place only getting better with time. Keep up the great work all.
Had the opportunity to do a hip hop class here for a friends birthday, and we had such a great time! I am definitely not a seasoned dancer by any means, and I felt very comfortable there.
This is the place to come whether you’re an experienced dancer looking to keep moving or if you’re someone just looking to get started. The instructors are amazing, the care they take when they teach is something I’ve not experienced in other settings.
Your first ballet class at Hothouse
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
