My little girl started as soon as they opened the new location and we love it! She is in the preschool class and I love the way that they find innovative ways to teach technique and make it playful as well. She has made lots of new little friends in the process.
Whenever I am taking class at Intempo I always receive very detailed corrections about what I'm doing wrong and how I can fix these mistakes. Also, the way that teachers/staff are teaching provide clear explanations of what the technique of that class should be.
Lovely and caring people!!!!!!!! Intempo is a place where your child will not only improve in many dances but also learn the sense of friendship, cooperation and commitment!!! Great instructors!!! Awesome staff! We love Intempo Dance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The teachers at Intempo Dance are awesome! They are usually providing my daughter with more instruction per hour than I paid for. Most instructors at the other dance schools in Houston/Katy play more than teach and they don't instill much passion for dance like these women do.
Your first ballet class at Intempo Dance
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
