I have all amazing things to say about JFK in Berthoud. I've had 3 kids go through different programs with Rehannon at JFK over the span of 10 years. The energy, the interaction, and just the overall vibe that she brings (and her assistants too!) makes the experience so wonderful for the kids.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this studio and the director, Rehannon. It is a positive, uplifting place to be and the older dancers are encouraged to be leaders and role models for the younger dancers. All of the instructors are positive and encouraging and genuinely love dance.
My daughter has been taking dance classes at Just for Kicks since she was 4 years old. I absolutely love how inclusive and supportive the instructors are. They are able to couch and build not only skill level but, also self esteem. Just for Kicks has been such a huge blessing to us.
We absolutely love Just for Kix in Berthoud. Mrs. Rheannon is a phenomenal teacher and cares so much for all the students and it shows in how she instructs and how she leads the older kiddos.
Your first ballet class at Just For Kix
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
