From the reviews
This is a wonderful dance program that offers high kick, jazz, ballet, lyrical, and hip hop classes. Dance participants not only learn dance skills but also learn how to work as a team and support one another in positive ways.
JFK Northfield is absolutely amazing! The coaches are kind and caring. The classes are fun, the competitions are great, and my child has grown and gained confidence as a dancer and person! Highly recommend!!
My daughter left a studio she had been at for four years and decided to try JFK - Northfield in 4th grade. She has been there ever since (going on her 5th year at JFK now) and absolutely loves it!! The coaches are amazing and truly care about the team!
I can not express how wonderful the Northfield Just for Kix Program is! My daughter has been dancing since age 3, this year she is entering her 7th year with JFK. So many variety’s of dance: kick, jazz, lyrical, pom and hip hop. They also have a great solo, duet, and small group program.
Your first ballet class at Just For Kix
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
