From the reviews
We transferred my son and daughter to KSD this year from another local studio which they were at a competitive level and they were extremely behind and lacking technique compared to the other dancers their age who have been dancing with KSD.
I can’t say enough great things about this dance school. We’re about to finish up year 2, started in preschool, and my daughter plans to do her entire childhood here! The owner is actively involved daily and the rest of the staff is awesome too. You won’t regret coming here!
I was very little when I danced here but went here when I was about 4 and danced here for 2-3 years I loved it here but I had to move so I stopped dancing. But the staff and studio is amazing love it I highly recommend this studio if your local to the area.
Going to Kathy’s for over 10 years has definitely been an amazing experience. Not only are the teachers absolutely wonderful, but they teach you more than just dance; they teach you about life. Great staff and a great 2nd family to be a part of.
Your first ballet class at Kathy's School of Dance
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
